Grand Ledge Relay For Life last year raised over $130,000 for the American Cancer Society. It amazes me that a small town the size of Grand Ledge, and with the help of neighboring communities like Eagle, Sunfield and Mulliken, can generate so much interest in an event like Relay For Life. Proportionately, Grand Ledge brings in more than a lot of much larger cities.
The event runs from Friday afternoon for a full 24 hours until Saturday at Beagle Middle School in Grand Ledge. Several fundraising events are held during the Relay including a balloon launch, ice cream sales, silent auction and raffles.
